“I would have to live for at least another 100 years to be able to wear all pieces I want to sew.”
With this thought constantly popping up in my head, I`ve made a considered decision to recreate my Stitching.poetry sewing account on Instagram, into a small, slowly made clothing line of the same name. After having sewn a solid number of wardrobe staples for me and overreaching the capacity to wear them all, I`d love to offer mindfully and lovingly made garments to others, as a more sustainable alternative to fashion. I believe that when craftsmanship, timeless design & durability of natural fibers all meet in one garment, it will last for a lot longer than a season or two. Another aspect of sustainability I stand for comes hand in hand with the choice of materials I use. There`s huge satisfaction in giving new life to re-purposed & dead-stock fabrics, which would otherwise end up in the trash.
